At Pennies From Heaven, we recognize there are many worthy charities that also struggle for fundraising dollars. The challenges facing Pennies From Heaven are amplified because we distribute every dollar raised directly to a family in need. As a result, we have no money for advertising or promoting our charity. No billboards, no television commercials, not even a direct mailing. We have grown and succeeded thanks to a grassroots effort of many donors who have a genuine belief in our mission of never seeing a child left alone in a hospital room. Pennies From Heaven runs on love and friendship. The exposure Pennies From Heaven will receive from this fundraiser is honestly an answered prayer. Equally important, we are touched that the Penguins’ wives and girlfriends recognized the work that we do and selected us as their partner to make lasting differences in the lives of many sick children this Holiday Season.
Fans may bid on the baskets at https://e.givesmart.com/events/fhM/ and the baskets are on display at home games on 12/10, 12/12 and 12/14 behind the KeyBank Club (Section 104). Fans can bid on the baskets through 8pm on December 14th. The gift baskets will begin shipping within 2-3 business days, in time for delivery prior to Christmas.
